The latest residential project designed by Thomas Dariel for Dariel Studio and his partner Delphine Moreau, featuring a variety of playful and quirky forms and contrasting color combinations, is a truly modern fantasy.

The 6-meter high duplex was given a second life with the makeover from the initial premise which included an office room, an open kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and an adjoining impressive mezzanine. Thomas Dariel broke everything to create a brand-new scene, installing  a real living room and moving the staircase to the side to provide more natural sunlight.

The latest luxury residential project designed by Dariel Studio is located in the downtown of Shanghai. Thomas Dariel, founder and leading designer of Dariel Studio, has been designated to work on the entire space, re-thinking the structure, improving the original distribution and imagining the general feeling of this loft, with the aim to make an arty and sophisticated space.

Taking into consideration the client’s age, personality and lifestyle, Dariel Studio has created a modern home, well equipped for a comfortable daily life, and complete of everything needed to host exclusive parties and entertain important guests.

The interior design of the whole space takes inspiration from a blend of modern European tendencies and Art-Deco reminiscences, combining a delicate color palette with visionary yet gentle shapes and volumes. The result, made precious by countless cultured citations, shows elegant colors and rich materials, managing to reach a unique aesthetic.

Taking into account the owner’s personal needs, Thomas Dariel has worked on the 3 floors of the loft, setting up public and private functions through a very close dialogue with the client: the first floor, with its indoor and outdoor spaces, has been designed specifically for the functionalities of daily life, whilst the second floor is exclusively laid out to accommodate the owner’s privacy.  Finally, the basement floor, with its double height space, is designed to accommodate social gatherings and parties with guests.

Pudong apartment is located on the bank of Huangpu River, with an extensive river view and abundant sunshine. As the founder and chief designer of Dariel Studio, French designer Thomas Dariel personally designed for the owner to create a customized flat floor apartment with extraordinary grandeur and meet the habits and needs of the family members.

The interior design of the whole space adopts the art deco style, which rose in the early 19th century, and integrates the color scheme and decorative details of British style. Thomas Dariel hopes to inject impressive colors and artistic aesthetics into the space through classic symbols of Art Deco era, and retain the owner’s experience and memories of living in England.

Thomas Dariel, as the founder and leading designer of Dariel Studio, welcomed the challenge and transformed the entire space into an artsy and sophisticated penthouse. The structure, materials and colours have all been carefully selected to ensure they work harmoniously together.

Thomas shares similar European life experiences and a love for art and fashion with his clients. This enabled him to connect deeply with their needs and wants for this penthouse - a spacious home that is cozy enough for family life but is also well equipped to host parties and entertain guests. Taking into consideration the client’s age, personalities and preferences, Thomas draws inspiration from Art Deco and has created a unique sensual experience by playing with opulent colours and materials.

The Yinhu Lanshan residential compound is perfectly located in the heart of Shenzhen and nested in a beautifully landscaped garden. The design of its top floor luxury penthouse has been entrusted to Thomas Dariel, the well-known French Designer behind the Shanghai-based agency Dariel Studio.

The design of the penthouse pays homage to the Art-Deco movement, and by that follows the architecture of the building itself that patently reminds one about the Chicago’s style. Thomas Dariel imagined and designed an interior full of architectural and artistic references of the 20’s and 30’s in France, which is to be considered as one of the most elegant period in interiors.

Dariel Studio has chosen Paris, city of art and culture to realise its first French residential project. Located in the heart of the capital in the 4th district Boulevard Morlan.

Thomas Dariel, the studio’s founder and leading designer has created a universe around the Parisian elegance and grace while adding a touch of surrealism, playfulness and joy. This apartment was initially empty and white. He was then able to give free rein to his imagination and creativity while respecting the expectations of his clients: a home base where they could feel at ease in a family-like cocoon yet reflecting the rich cultural environment of Paris.

The last on-to-date residential project designed by Dariel Studio is a truly modern fantasy. Located in the vibrant Sanlitun area, this 1500 sqm apartment features an extra-ordinary décor that pays homage to the client's eccentric personality.

12 apartments spread over the two last floors of the building have been reunited to give shape to the current penthouse. Thomas Dariel's new interior creates volumes that offer a sense of space, a feeling of immensity.
